We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Business Conduct and Sales Suitability Manager - HBCN WPB NFR UTILITY - BCSS.
Principal responsibilities
· Provide assurance that HSBC’s customers are treated fairly and are recommended products that are suitable for their needs and appetite for risk.
· Ensure that sales process and staff behavior are performed/conducted and documented in line with HSBC policies and procedures as well as being compliant with respect to both local and external regulators, current legislation, Compliance and Departmental procedures.
· Success in this role will be dependent on the role holder’s ability to follow the process and identify any issues related to the quality of sales including the provision of regular updates and support to management.
· Provide pragmatic advice to help improve sales and conduct risk models (e.g. processes, controls, governance) and implement compliance solutions, whilst facilitating the businesses to operate within the rules.
· Proactively manage, and escalate, risks and issues. Advise on mitigating measures and provide ongoing assessment of the sales process.
· Provide training and advice to frontline team in relation to improve the sales qualifications.
· Perform team leader responsibilities to oversight the team administration and consolidating as well as tracking team performances.
Requirements
· At least 3 years’ experience in a variety of banking areas and functions.
· People and Team management experience.
· Comprehensive knowledge of Retail and Wealth Services/industry/products/regulation and understanding of HSBC Sales Quality Standards and Sales Procedures preferable.
· General knowledge of operational risk management and control implementation.
· Communicate at all levels with confidence (written and verbal) - mature ability to communicate with different stakeholders in a simpler and concise manner.
· Self-motivated and self-disciplined with the ability to work effectively with prioritization.
· Strong written skills in both Chinese and English.
· Solid computer skills, especially in MS excel, Power Point.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
