Position Statement

The Director of Sales develops sales strategies and ensures timely activations to support achievement of sales targets in managed segments of corporate and government accounts including groups to contribute to the overall commercial success of the hotel.  You will work closely with the Commercial Director and Revenue Management Consolidated Centre team to ensure accurate selling and pricing strategies, maximise yield and ensure compliance to company’s brand and commercial services requirements.  You will support teamwork between Room Sales, Groups Meetings & Events, Reservations and Operations team to ensure alignment as one team to achieve overall business objectives.

 

What will you be doing?

As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

·  Lead the Sales team in achievement of hotel’s key performance indicators that include but not limited to hotel's revenue contribution, profitability, guest satisfaction, team members’ satisfaction and loyalty contribution. 
·  Set individual sales targets for team and monitor for progress.
·  Lead team towards achievement of business objectives.
·  Organise familiarization trips, site inspections, hotel presentations and participate in tradeshows and showcases (local and overseas). 
·  Review and analyse business pace and market trends.
·  Monthly production review and support appropriate sales activations plans.
·  Monthly forecasting and results updates for commercial/ business focussed meetings.
·  Lead and participate in sales and marketing activities including sales calls, sales trips, new accounts and groups business acquisitions and conversions.
·  Support and participate in all client engagement plans.
·  Review, recommend and implement local sales efforts to support business needs.
·  Review and approve credit facility applications.
·  Review accounts business production and implement appropriate plans to enhance share of wallet.
·  Support Reservations and Groups Meetings & Events teams in achievement of overall commercial goals.
·  Support in budget preparation and competition review.
·  Support in budget preparation and presentations.
·  Adhere to hotel’s safety policies, emergency rules and procedures. 
·  Manage stakeholder relationships including third party vendors in distribution, marketing and RFP resources. 
·  Be well connected with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to owning company, Hilton corporate office, worldwide sales offices, revenue management consolidated centre, conventions and visitors bureaus, airlines, trade partners, leisure travel wholesalers, online travel agencies and travel management companies to review and update market trends and explore new business opportunities.
