Role Summary/Purpose

In this role, you are responsible for leading strategic procurement activities across all aspects of GE Vernova’s IT Category Management for the Cyber Security spend. This includes taking strategic ownership of entire category spend, developing strategies to reduce total cost of ownership – including vendor management, demand management, and governance/compliance – to achieve initial step change TCO reduction and ongoing year-over-year improvements. You will work with the IT Category Management Tower Lead to set strategy, coordinate procurement efforts and policy, and execute initiatives. This will also involve partnering with GE Vernova functional stakeholders in IT, Business Procurement, Supply-Chain, Corporate, and other functions to drive TCO reduction while delivering excellent service levels to the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

Oversee development/ execution of strategies through the sourcing and procurement process for Cyber Security spend areas.

Provide inputs for Cyber Security budgeting: identify opportunities and their estimated value creation, define sourcing projects in alignment with stakeholders and execute related sourcing projects

Champion and secure Cyber TCO reductions for IT Labor and Software spend.

Driving demand management and compliance for other IT categories (e.g., number of application licenses, application alternatives, number and specs of personal devices, preferred vendor penetration).

Overseeing end-to-end sourcing and procurement process: strategy, market analysis, negotiation process (RFXs), supplier selection and contract creation, and buy channel management.

Working closely with IT VMR process for assigned spend categories.

Leading and managing multi-functional stakeholder teams on specific strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives or projects.

Driving best practices.

Measuring and tracking internal performance within each spend category.

Monitoring strategy implementation to ensure benefit realization.

Driving annual productivity improvements in each spend category.

Driving value through supplier relationship management.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.

Approximately 7 to 10 years' experience with increasing level of responsibility in IT, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, or equivalent consulting experience.

Demonstrated ability in leading large scale organizational, process, and culture change.

For roles not in USA, this role requires significant experience comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

Desired Characteristics

MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, IT Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, or Engineering.

2+ years of IT Labor or IT sourcing and procurement/project experience.

Category management / sourcing and procurement experience in a multinational company.

Strong analytical skills (spend analytics, should-cost analysis, market R&I).

IT experience, knowledge of IT contractor market, specific cyber experience is a plus.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Demonstrated negotiations skills.

Aggressive self-starter.

Strong project management skills.

Experience with RFQ implementation and execution.

Working knowledge of ERP systems.

History with supply base consolidation.
