Propose and coordinate initiatives to develop the panel of suppliers. Improve the cost of acquisition of direct material, managing an action plan and considering the best choices in terms of safety, quality, and delivery. Roles and Responsibilities
- Define sourcing strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Lead negotiations and allocate purchasing volumes to selected suppliers. Negotiate terms and conditions and coordinate requirements with procurement. Manage supplier claims.
- Structure and manage contracts with suppliers for direct material and service purchase.
- Understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- Make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members and department manager for issues outside of defined scope of responsibilities.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Develop strong supplier business relationships and serve as the interface between suppliers and GE Vernova.
- Drive the development and homologation of new suppliers.
- Collaborate with the other functions involved to encourage the generation of cost out ideas, planning, execution and implementation.
- Consider business strategy, supplier processes and capabilities.
- Assist finance in analyzing product costs and updating standard prices in SAP.
- Coordinate projects and direct material sourcing initiatives effectively.
- Organize and prioritize tasks, track progress and meet deadlines.
- Communicate efficiently with cross-functional teams, management and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrate written and oral communication skills in English.
- Monitor and analyze direct material purchasing cost.
- Prepare reports on direct material cost evolution including inflation/ deflation impacts and pricing mapping as support for allocation of volumes and selection of suppliers.
- Organize and coordinate biddings for supplier selection including scope of supply and commercial terms.
- Work strictly in accordance with GE Vernova compliance policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in business administration, engineering (preferably electrical or mechanical) or related areas;
- Solid Experience in Commodity Management, direct material in the energy sector;
- Advanced English and Fluent in Portuguese;
- Office package (advanced knowledge in excel and power point presentations);
- Desirable knowledge of Power BI;
- Knowledge of SAP MM module (or equivalent ERP system);
