As a member of the Metem Lean Team, you will be an active contributor to the twofold capacity expansion of the Parsippany facility and to the evolution of our people and our processes.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Develop strategic value stream Roadmaps focused on safety and quality improvements, part flow alignment, and capacity expansion
  • Execute, validate, and follow up on Roadmap actions and sustained benefits
  • Perform comprehensive value stream analyses to identify waste and opportunities for improvement
  • Plan and prepare for multi-team, weeklong kaizen improvement events
  • Own execution of new production line creation
  • Practice and coach others in application of lean tools to eliminate waste, such as 5S, Daily Management, Value Stream Mapping, Jidoka, Built-in Quality, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis, Standard Work, and more!

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering  or other technical area. 
  • At least 2 years of experience in a continuous improvement related role within a manufacturing production environment.
  • Advanced capability with MS Excel & MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience using CAD software such as Solidworks or NX.
     

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to occasionally travel 1.5 hours between sites to Allentown, PA
  • Willingness to travel to other sites in the Global Supply Chain 1-2 times per year and participate in kaizen improvement weeks.
  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government export restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and protected individuals (e.g., certain refugees and asylees)). GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

Additional Notes:

  • This role will require you to be 100% on site.
  • Our facility operates 24 hours per day on three shifts. You will occasionally be required to provide assistance to shifts outside of normal working hours.

The base pay range for this position is $95,900- $127,900. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. ​

*The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
