Job Description
Responsibilities
Apprentice of Generator Detailed Designer is responsible for the support to Designers in design of upgrades (Nuclear, Fossil & Industrial), new build applications (Synchronous Condensers & Fossil) and capital parts.
Participation within the Generator design team which is multi-location and multi-cultural. The team is accountable for the technical solution and draws upon support from other teams including Electrical Engineering, Technology, and Core Service Engineering to conceptualize, design and document the solution for manufacture, installation, and operation.
Support and cooperation to Designers for develop and maintain solutions for new stators and rotors, rewinds, uprates, and other upgrades for generators according to specification; perform work without supervision, in time and efficiently
Follow the technical oversight of the Lead Designer and Detailed Designers for the execution of the design deliverables
Create and maintain product documentation like quality test plans, specifications, manufacturing instructions, BOM, 3D CAD models and 2D drawings to support research, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and outage maintenance activities
Work closely with the other engineering teams and provide support where needed
Basic requirements
Still student or Bachelor's degree already in Engineering or Physics or equivalent learning through experience.
Practical experience in use of engineering tools (CAD - Catia & NX, PLM) is very preferred
Pragmatic outlook.
Strong interpersonal skills
Oral and written communication skills in English
