Job Description Summary
As a member of the Steam turbine Auxiliaries and BOP process engineering, you will be an active contributor to the designing and sizing of turbine auxiliary systems and creating specification of the BOP equipment and components, technical follow-up with vendors and making sure that equipment and systems are delivered with highest level of quality, on-time and with full compliance to codes and standards and contract requirements.Job Description
Your Role:
Overall design of the Turbine Auxiliaries Systems (e.g. lube oil system, control oil system, sealing steam system, drain system) and ensuring its safe design by participating in functional safety studies
Issuing process flow diagrams, P&IDs, System description, electrical load list, piping interface list and BOQs
Creating technical specifications for purchase of equipment and technical follow-up with suppliers, from the request for quotation phase to the commissioning phase on-site.
Piping design for gland steam (MAW) and internal turbine drains (MAL), lubrication (MAV) and hydraulic (MAX) oil, as well as seal oil (MKW) and generator cooling system (MKA & MKG).
Basic & Detailed Engineering of Bought Out Items.
Condensing System & Accessories – Water Cooled Condensers, Vacuum System, Gland Steam Condenser, Condensate Extraction Pumps, etc.,
Steam System & Accessories
HP & LP Heaters
PRDS & DS stations
Special Valves – Quick Closing Non Return Valves / Quick Shutoff Valves
Manual Valves, Steam Traps & Accessories
Off Skid Piping (IBR / Non IBR) & Accessories
Review of Pipeline Routing with Customer / Consultant Interaction
Piping Isometrics, Pipe Supports & BOM
Participate in Inspection (Stage & Final) at Vendor locations.
Technical assistance to Clients / Consultants for procurement of Accessories, which are in their scope.
Support to erection and commissioning Team during Erection, Commissioning of Steam Turbine, Accessories & Trouble shooting
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Basic knowledge in following engineering disciplines : layout & arrangement, electrical design, instrumentation and control,
Detailed knowledge of power plant water/steam cycles
Good knowledge of Steam Turbine Product,
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to travel extensively in support of assignments
Desired Characteristics
Proficiency in Steam turbine generator auxiliaries operation
Tendering & Project execution experience
Advanced degree in Mechanical/Energy Engineering
Excellent communications skills - both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal and responsive skills
