The opportunity: your next adventure awaits

Based in Aarhus and Odense, EY’s Local M&A team advises small and medium-sized enterprise owners in assessing and executing their M&A ambitions. Working closely together with our clients, we have a leading role in the planning and execution of sales and acquisition processes. We assist with preparation of business plans, marketing material, valuation, buyer research, as well as detailed planning of deal tactics and negotiations.

We are looking for a bright student to join our Local M&A team, where you will be an important part of a young, dedicated and dynamic team. You will primarily be situated at our Odense office and should be willing to dedicate approximately 20 hours a week beside your studies, with flexibility to accommodate classes, exams, etc.

 

As a Junior Analyst, you will support the team on several key M&A tasks, including the following:

·  Preparation of presentation material including management presentations, information memoranda and client meeting material
·  Assisting in preparing company valuations (DCF, LBO, multiples, operational modelling etc.)
·  Peer group screenings
·  Buyer screenings
·  Financial statement analysis
·  Market research and analysis
·  Ad hoc tasks

·  Qualifications:
·  One year left of your bachelor degree (for example HA, BM or Oecon) or currently in your first year of a Master’s degree within strategy, accounting, or finance (Relevant degrees include, but are not limited to: MSc Accounting and Finance, MSc International Business and Management, MSc Management Accounting, MSc Strategy and Organization, Cand.Oecon.
·  Strong writing and good communication skills in Danish (native) and English
·  Strong academic performance, amongst best in class
·  Experience from other relevant student positions is preferable
·  A well-developed understanding of accounting and financial statements
·  Excellent capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint
