Job description



Background:

EY has been contracted by the Delegation of the European Union to Pakistan to implement the EU Promotion of Human Rights in Pakistan programme. The principal beneficiary of the programme is the Federal Ministry of Human Rights. The Ministry of Human Rights is also responsible for the management of the programme.

The programme implementation team are seeking a Junior Associate Digital Media Officer, to work with Communications and Awareness Raising Team during the programme Execution phase . The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of processes and tasks related to creating content for the Digital & Social Media assets of the MoHR.

Key Functions/Responsibilities:

· 
Design digital media campaigns according to project goals

· 
Coordinate and manage the creation of all digital content for the website, facebook, twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Linked In and other social media assets of the MoHR.

· 
Develop blogs, press releases and podcasts, infographics, videos etc.

· 
Amplify the MoHR digital presence through engagement strategies

· 
Work to amplify thematic awareness campaigns on HR on MoHR social media assets

· 
Maintain and manage aDesign digital media campaigns according to National Human Rights Protection Systems in Pakistan (NHRPS)

· 
Coordinate and manage the creation of all digital content such as website, blogs, press releases and podcasts, infographics, videos etc.

· 
Amplify the MoHR social media presence though engaging content

· 
Work to improve Strategic presence of the programme and NHRPS on Digital Media

· 
Maintain and manage all social media channels (Facebook, twitter, Instagram and YouTube channels)

· 
Regularly track and get insights on human rights for building knowledge and information sharing in the general public and NHRPS

· 
Stay up-to-date with digital media technologies and latest trends our social media channels

· 
Suggest and implement digital media promotional methods

· 
Suggest strategies and methods for improvement

Required Skills and Experience:

· 
1-2 years of relevant experience as Digital Media Content officer or similar role

· 
Excellent writing skills

· 
Knowledge and experience of visual communication methods will add value.

· 
Bachelors degree in Media Studies, Digital Marketing, Mass Communications or relevant field

· 
Good knowledge of Digital Media tools (e.g Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Audacity or other media editing software)

· 
Experience with content management, additional qualification in web design or animation is a plus

· 
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on Programmes success

· 
Proven report-writing and skills

· 
Digital Agency experience will be an asset

· 
Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines;

· 
Ability to implement effective communication to masses on HR issues

· 
Background in Human Rights related Digital communication will be an asset

· 
Fluency in both English and Urdu is required. Any additional Pakistani regional language would be an asset. 

Number of Working Days: 550 days

Location: Islamabad

Period of Deployment: 15 Sep 2019 – 31 Dec 2021
