LLP - Network operator

The NetworkOperator performs the day-to-day transport management process (e.g. shipmentplanning, execution control, FBA support etc.) Uses the LLP route planningtools to organise transport requirements as advised by customer plants (mainlyroad transport). It is the first point of contact for supply chain partners forany transport related enquiries and works in close collaboration withthem and implementation and delivery of integrated transportationsolutions as part of the LLP Supply Chain solutions.

 Overall RolePurpose

To provide thelink between the LLP, customer Logistics departments, nominated Suppliers andCarriers in order to establish customer requirements and assist in the dailyresolution/implementation of operational requirements.

To ensure that the inbound and the outbound material and empty containerreturns flows are delivered under a predefined transport network, at the lowestand most efficient total logistics cost.

To perform route execution controls, i.e. enquire and monitor shipmentstatus for material and empty container flows including support for exceptionmanagement and contingency planning.

To perform the spot buy process in case of expedite shipments is needed bythe customer.

To ensure alldepartmental day-to-day tasks and data entry are timely executed.

To act as a tier 1support for System related queries and as an internal trainer for OTM users(OTM Superuser function)

2 year experiencein transport & logistics environment

Preferredrequirements:

Experience ofTransport Management / Order Management systems

Basicunderstanding of regulatory and customs principles

Oracle TransportManagement Knowledge OTM (An advantage)
