DHL eCommerce is one of the divisions of DHL,dedicated to both domestic and international parcel delivery, through ourcutting-edge cross-border products. We are looking fora Chief Technology and Operations Officer in Italy to steer and manage softwareand hardware requirements of an established Joint Venture by DHL eCommerce and PosteItaliane in order to create a modern and sustainable network of automatic parcellockers with user-friendly interfaces at key locations across Italy for use byPI, DHL and possible sale to third parties.

Areas of Responsibility

  •  Steer andmanage the software and hardware requirements in the Joint Venture for theItalian market
  • Responsiblefor all locker operation processes
  • Assureefficient locker installations
  • Managementof the installation- and maintenance-provider
  • Budgetresponsibility for software, hardware, and installation/provider-management
  • Manage thewhole CTOO-Team
  • Responsiblefor all safety and security topics in the Joint Venture

Key Tasks (technically)

  • Definition of HW requirementsin terms of asset requirements and IT network architecture
  • Definition of SWrequirements, definition of functional solution and management of ITdevelopment providers
  • Analysis of businessIT needs
  • IT budget managementHW and SW
  • Support in thedrafting of technical and functional requirements
  • Purchase of HW andSW IT services
  • PMO activities forthe development of technological solutions
  • Management ofdepartmental systems needs (PCs, printers, etc.)
  • Monitoring of thefunctioning of central information systems and TLC networks
  • Technical interfacewith central and delivery systems of the various couriers connected to thelocker network
  • Cybersecurity SLAMonitoring
  • Expected SLAmonitoring of corporate business IT systems

Key Tasks (operationally)

  • Preparation andimplementation of new installations (e.g masonry, electrical works, managementof installation teams)
  • Management andmaintenance of the locker network throughout its life cycle
  • Service deliverymanagement
  • Management ofpurchase and supply contracts
  • Ordinary/extraordinaryand emergency maintenance management
  • Management of lockerwarehouses and spare parts, installations/maintenance, regeneration,divestment/locker closure
  • Definition ofprocesses and operating procedures of competence
  • Oversight of theasset procurement process (including spare parts?) and installation services(including masonry and electrical works), maintenance and warehouse, generaloperation
  • Suppliers selectionand management (assets, warehouse, transport and maintenance) management ofnegotiations and / or purchasing processes and tenders
  • Formalization ofpurchase contracts and related operational management
  • Definition ofprocesses and operating procedures of competence
  • Preparation of technicalspecifications contract / tender for purchase and supply

  • Greatknowledge in general-logistic processes
  • Experiencein IT-Project-Management and requirements engineering
  • Experiencein maintaining and operating a complex IT-environment

  • Very good MS Office skills, Power Point and Excel
  • UniversityBachelor / Master degree and/or several years of professional experience in ITand Operations
