About the Job
As our new Data Science Intern, you will be part of our enthusiastic and diverse Data and Modelling team who help with technological innovation using data-driven decision-making within Danone’s One Planet One Health vision. Your key role will be to contribute to our model portfolio for filtration and hydrolysate processes. During this internship, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support various initiatives. Your main responsibilities include:
· Collect and organize data from various sources (pdf, csv) to create a structured database.
· Conduct root cause analysis to identify factors contributing to filter fouling.
· Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and trends.
· Engage in feature engineering, modelling, validation, and report writing.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and validate models.
· Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
· Summarize results in a comprehensive report.
As a Data Science Intern, data analysis and modelling will be second nature to you. You can collect and organize data, conduct root cause analysis, and perform exploratory data analysis. On top of that? You’re a proactive and creative individual who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.
There are also some compulsory requirements:
· You are enrolled at a Dutch university for the whole duration of the internship (if you are a non-EU citizen, you must be enrolled in a Dutch university to be eligible for this internship).
· You are fluent in English—both verbal and written.
· You have knowledge of batch processes, filtration, and hydrolysis.
· You are proficient in SQL and Python.
· You are available to start from June 2025 for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days a week.
· You are willing to travel to Utrecht, The Netherlands.

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance of 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
