What You'll Do

We are looking for a Technical Marketing Engineer to drive the Wireless and Enterprise Mobility business. We are seeking a motivated, detail oriented & committed wireless engineer that will rise to the challenge to work with engineering, sales, marketing, and product management to further Cisco's wireless platforms and software.

Activities include, but are not limited to:

Managing technical marketing aspects of Cisco's wireless access point and controller portfolio. Responsibilities include but not limited to product certifications, proof of concept, customer and internal presentations, product gap analysis, technical requirements, technical collaterals and pre-sales support.

Evangelizing the value and technical differentiators of Cisco's wireless portfolio and related solutions to sale teams, channel partners, and customers.

Engaging with key customers to drive the product and solution adoption.

Being the customer's technical advocate inside the development organization.

Participating in the product development process to provide use cases, deployment scenarios, and technical documentation of new product requirements.

Generating compelling technical sales enablement collaterals such as Q&A, white papers, Technical Decision Maker presentations and competitive analysis. Ensuring necessary content, training programs, and design implementations are available to the sales and partner technical communities.

Participating in demo development, industry events, and Cisco Sales events.

Understanding of technical and systems views of networking deployments.

User Interface Design Input.

Technical consultant on customer sales calls.

Work closely with the field, key Systems Integrators, Engineering, and Cisco Technology Partners in an Agile environment.

Working with orchestration technologies using DevOps such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Containers, Pythong, scripting.

Working with automation or cloud software to enable next generation network design and network architectures.

Developing automated methods to manage the network and optimize our customer's user experience.

Developing messaging about key customer challenges and benefits of Cisco's solutions based on wireless and other networking use cases.

Travel and Deliver training to customers, partners, sales teams both domestically and internationally.

Who You Are

● B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field

● In-depth understanding of wireless networking technologies and networking is mandatory. Cisco Networking, IOS, Aironet AP, wireless controller, Cisco Prime, DNA Center.

Wireless CCIE or other Cisco certification is desired.

● Must be able to demonstrate confidence in wireless architecture, engineering, operations, and security discussions

● Proven ability to understand complex and in-depth level technical situations, related business challenges, and be able to communicate strategies for effective solutions.

● DevOps Programming and scripting experience in Python and Linux

● Domestic / International Travel required 25%
