What You'll Do

The SPNAA Applications team within Cisco facilitates business transitions by delivering innovative, outcome-driven management solution through network automation and analytics for Service Providers. Cisco Evolved Programmable Network Manager and Crosswork Suite product portfolio are comprehensive element, network and service management products for managing very large scale networks. They provide simplified, converged, end-to-end lifecycle management for carrier-grade networks of all sizes.

Who You'll Work with

The Technical Leader in this group must have a very strong exposure in software development, quality, and delivery of top quality service provider products. This individual is expected to lead a team technically including few partner workers and collaborate with product management and other business units to develop next generation network management product. The individual must also work closely with cross functional teams across geography to facilitate, participate in design and development to ensure success of ongoing development and testing activities.

Who You are :

The individual must also have a strong technical background preferably from a product company building out large scale engineering projects and working with high performance development team(s). The candidate will be involved and accountable for all the design and development work for the next generation Network Management product focusing on cable technologies, drive and come up with work estimations, collaborate and communicate with other stakeholders with an ability to organize and analyze relevant data from complex issues.

The successful applicant must have a proven track record of designing and developing high quality software products ground up and should possess the following skills and experience:

* 12+ years of telecom industry experience
* 5+ years of excellent hands-on Network Management domain, Java and Webservice
* 3+ years of in-depth experience with DOCSIS development, CableLabs standard and IP Routing
* Hands-on expertise of database and modeling technologies
* Experience in developing automation, analytics is a big plus

Some of the following software skills are necessary to perform well in the project:

* Exposure to technologies such as REST, JSON, XML, XSD, XPath, XQuery
* Working knowledge of SNMP, MIB Browser, Syslog, IOS CLI, WS-* Standards
* Exposure to client side technologies like JSP, Ajax, NodeJs, Dojo
* Hands on Experience of developing in UNIX/Linux Operating System environments
* Agile development experience
