What You'll Do

In Operations, we're coming together in a new way, as “One Operations” team to accelerate Cisco's transformation, while expanding the value that our connections between functional expertise areas allow.

As the market continues to change with such intense agility, we continue to look at how we develop and cultivate the talent necessary for our workforce of the future – both through re-skilling and talent attraction. It also means the that the ongoing development of leadership capabilities and pipelines of talent are critical for our future success.

As an Operations Talent Development Program Manager,

  • You will help refine and execute our talent strategy while collaborating with key stakeholders to understand ongoing talent development needs
  • You will design, lead and support the delivery of talent programs that address critical skills gaps. Depending on the program, this may include creating or curating content and building the program yourself or working with other resources on the instructional design
  • You will be assigned specific programs to lead, however because we are a dynamic and lean team, you will be pulled into all aspects of the broader Employee and Executive Engagement programs.
  • You will interact regularly with business functions across the Operations organization to understand their current talent programs and help determine if aspects of those programs could be expanded across the operations organization.
  • You will research and make recommendations for the right platforms and initiatives to support talent development
  • You will communicate effectively at all levels of the business, using appropriate vehicles and messaging. You will share best practices - within own group and across OneOPs

Who You Will Work With

The chief-of-staff (Employee and Executive Engagement) team, Operations functions, HR, Office of Inclusion and Collaboration, Learning Services, LTI, as well as external suppliers and employees in all nine functional areas of the Operations Organization.

You are resilient with execution and delivery and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments. You have passion, experience and success in creating and supporting talent efforts. You can influence and work with all levels of leadership and have demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively to accomplish assignments with minimal supervision, including strong capacity to partner, work horizontally and bring multiple resources together to accomplish shared goals

Minimum requirements:

  • Proven program/project management skills, including excellent verbal and written communications, facilitation, problem solving, analytical, and presentation abilities
  • Resourceful, independent thinker with a willingness to adopt creative approaches
  • Experience in people development, group facilitation, and/or training design
  • Work in organizational development, adult learning or equivalent, highly desired
  • 3+ years of project/program management experience
  • Bachelors Degree in related field or an equivalent number of years of experience.
  • Direct experience in designing and delivering people programs in a business environment
  • Extraordinary communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to lead multiple priorities and meet deadlines
