What You'll Do
As a Strategy Manager for Cisco Service Provider (SP) Business, you will be responsible for the communication of Cisco's global portfolio strategy to internal and external audiences.
You will collaborate with product management, marketing, and sales teams to create necessary collateral to communicate Cisco's strategic direction, priorities, and product portfolio value propositions to customers, partners, and the industry.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of service provider industry markets, business and technology trends, network architectures and operations, and customer needs. You must analyze and assess industry trends, business opportunities, business models, competitive positioning, and technology choices to create strategic messages and unique value propositions that connect with customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Create messaging and positioning collateral for SP global product portfolio.
- Create deliverables to communicate portfolio strategy and its relevance to customers, partners, and the industry. These include but are not limited to blogs, presentations, videos, whitepapers, and sales tools.
- Provide competitive assessment, planning, and response.
- Coordinate through executives, corporate marketing, and sales to bring messages to market.

Required Skills:
- 3+ years in service provider networking industry. Knowledge of networking products, operations, and business practices.
- Marketing background a bonus. Can apply knowledge of industry trends, business opportunities, competition, and technology.
- Product, technology, and system architecture knowledge to understand strategy and value proposition across various service provider markets.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills to create compelling stories to communicate ideas and concepts with simplicity.
- Artistically create communications using a wide variety of media. Examples include video, presentations, podcasts, graphics, papers.
- Some travel required (< 10% depending on location)
Locationpreference for San Jose, CA but open to other locations for the right candidate.
