What You'll Do
- You will partner with cross-functional teams globally to drive global policy compliance and process improvements.
- You'll have oversight of account reconciliation policy, work with global business partners to ensure compliance while driving continuous process improvements. This includes ensuring timely completion and issuance of quarterly recon testing, as well as reporting to the Corporate Controller and Assistant Corporate Controller.
- You'll be responsible for the statutory reporting process and metric reporting, partnering with regional controllers to drive timely completion of global statutory financial statements. This includes quarterly reporting to the Corporate Controller and Assistant Corporate Controller. In addition this includes maintenance and update of the statutory reporting process document and annual regional trainings.
- You will have oversight of global reconciling items reporting, both upstream and downstream reporting oversights to ensure completeness and drive process improvements, You will have accountability to ensure numerous SOX controls related to bank accounts, SOD, JE sources and account reconciliation activities are completed monthly.
Who You'll Work With
You will operate as a business partner with key stakeholders across the Corporate Controllers Group, Project Teams, SOX, IT, external auditors, and business finance. The Global Accounting & Reporting group (GAR) supports virtual close, policy compliance and SEC filing with a credibility through partnering with functional groups across the Company. GAR is an integral part of the Corporate Controller Group. Together we develop, influence and implement global financial policy and process. Building effective partnerships within the team and with extended business partners is essential to success.
Who You Are
You are highly motivated, self-starter who enjoys working in a dynamic environment with deadlines. You have knowledge of accounting and understanding of financial statement risks. You have exposure to project management and how we implement changes at Cisco. You are capable of working cross-functionally with teams, meeting deadlines, and cultivating a thriving work environment.
Our minimum requirements for this role:
- You hold a Bachelors' Degree and 3-5+ years of finance/accounting experience with knowledge of risk, controls and compliance. CPA preferred but not required
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- You are able to lead, plan and execute in a dynamic corporate environment, are a proven collaborator, have excellent accounting project management skills and you have the ability to keep multiple priorities moving at the same time
