The Team
Imagine having the opportunity to work in a team developing security technologies to prevent emerging Internet security threats. Cisco Security Technology Business Unit is looking for Software Engineers to develop next generation web applications for managing Firewall and Intrusion prevention systems. In this role you will participate in the design & development of applications to configure network security policies, intrusion prevention rules and develop framework to monitor blocked threats/attacks by security appliance. Opportunity to learn & develop using latest web technologies including Ember & Bootstrap javascript frameworks, Neo4J graph database, java and python programming technologies

Role & Responsibilities
●Write and execute detailed test plans for Cisco's network security solutions.
●Perform manual and automation testing for Security management web applications
●Interact with Cisco development to track defects from discovery through resolution and verification.
●Individuals must demonstrate attention to detail, work well in a team environment, be highly motivated, and willing to learn new skills.

Minimum Qualifications
●Strong coding knowledge in any scripting language, such as Python, Selenium, Behave, for Test automation
●Experience in networking, TCP/IP, switching and routing environment, layer 7 applications familiarity such as HTTP, SMTP, IMAP, POP3, FTP, etc.
●Experience in defining test requirements, test methodologies, setting up the required test lab and equipment
●Experience in system testing and troubleshooting
●Previous/current experience testing in a Linux and other Unix environments as well as how to administer those environments
●BSCS with 2+ years of experience or MSCS with 1+ years of experience

Desired Skills
●Networking/Security certification will be an added advantage
●Experience with Firewall, IPS/IDS and/or other Network Security products is a huge plus.
