Cisco Kinetic platform is fastest growing segment in IOT, and developing next-gen network management platforms to provide solutions for IOT Customers for various deployments, Manufacturing, Mining, Oil & Gas, Automation and Smart Connected. You will be working on cutting-edge network management systems for cloud deployment to manage and configure devices such as Cisco's leading Industrial IOT routers, switches.

Who You'll work with:

The Cisco Kinetic platform team is a group of high energy, customer focused engineers who bring diverse perspectives and experiences to bear on the toughest engineering challenges.

As a crucial member of this forward-looking group, you will be responsible for design and implementation of Cisco Kinetic network management systems with a focus onbackend and API. With a huge customer base, an ever-evolving customer deployment, scenarios and ever-growing scale, this is one of the most challenging work in Cisco. You will be interacting and working closely with some of the finest talent in the industry, customers and other partners. What is more... we believe in making work both challenging and fun! This candidate will play a key role for the Cisco Kinetic network management systems product design and implementation. He/She will be accountable for code quality, test automation and following Cisco's security cloud software development methodology. He/She will be accountable for analytics and monitoring of those cloud deployed features.

This position requires extensive collaboration with multiple engineering teams, Product Management, Program Management and other stakeholders. The candidate will work in an Agile fashion and will ensure his/her team will work out of a defined and prioritized backlog.

Who You are:

You are experienced in designing and implementing cloud scale applications and micro services specializing in backend and API. You can write automated tests for new software features. Besides this, your communication and presentation skills are exemplary, and you grow with working in a highly collaborative, inclusive, and agile atmosphere with multi-functional teams.

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience for backend, API and micro services development.
  • Education: B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MS (CS/EC)
  • Experience leading teams and enginners
  • Strong programming skills on Java, RESTful API, Ruby, Scripts
  • Excellent knowledge of test automation framework
  • String in object oriented design and programming
  • Organized, attention to details, able to work both independently and as a team member
  • Hands-on experience in agile, CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • IoT and network management experience in IT or OT environment is a plus
  • Understanding and working knowledge on network management and identity management is a plus
