Cisco delivers technology and products for connecting people, places and things, from unified collaboration through data, voice and video to sensor networks, big data, communications carriers and cloud computing.

The Application Visibility and Control (AVC) is a strategic, innovative and a center of excellence group located in the Israel/Netanya site that is leading widely deployed, SDN and cloud solution across Cisco Enterprise portfolio that drives up platforms value.

The core technology developed by the team provides real-time detection of network traffic and IoT devices. This technology is a key for Cisco security and assurance products.

The technology we develop runs real-time algorithms at the network layer and leverages AWS for analytics and research. Our team is dynamic and highly skilled, but most of all a great place to learn and grow in.

Cisco Israel Netanya is looking for a brilliant/honored computer engineering (or similar) student for part time software development to work and contribute to the evolution of our technology in Cisco.

What You'll Do:

·Get highly familiar with networking and how networking equipment is tested

·Develop Java & Python Software Tools, Features and automation

·Research how IoT devices and Network Applications behave

Qualifications:

·Currently pursuing a university degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

·Autodidact with extreme passion for new technologies and design concepts

·Very good verbal and written communication skills (English)

·Highly motivated to deliver premium product with no compromises

·SW development skills in C/C++ and Python

·Background in standard networking theories, concepts, and protocols (L2-L7)

·Available for at least 2 days a week

The following would also be advantageous:

·Previous software development working experience

·Pursuing a Bachelor/ Master's degree or similar
