What You'll Do
As a Technical Consulting Engineer, your connection to Cisco customers builds effective working relationships while solving their issues, managing expectations, and leaving the customer feeling valued. As a successful TCE:
You continually develops your working knowledge of networking products and protocols to provide second/third level technical support on a worldwide basis via phone, email, web and remote access in a designated technology focus areas
You effectively utilizes databases of existing issues, debugging tools and simple or moderate lab simulations to analyze problems and identify solutions with a high level of customer satisfaction
You share knowledge to build relationships, and effectively solve problems both alone and as part of a collaborative team.
Who You Are
You have achieved a CCNA or equivalent level of proven networking knowledge or experience including TCP/IP and Routing Protocols. Your troubleshooting experience is on Operating Systems such as Linux, VMware, and Microsoft. Your dedication and ability to resolve complex technical problems, multitask, and be passionate about customer success. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Your innate crisis management skills interacting with customers/partners on their issues/problems brings resolution quickly and accurately.
Required Skills
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS/EE preferred) or equivalent and 3-5 years of relevant experience.
You bring strong programming skills (C, C++, Python, Linux, Shell Scripting)
Your specific knowledge of products is within: Data Center (UCS/Nexus), Virtualization, Storage, Networking
Your troubleshooting expertise is with using wireshark, tcpdump, finisar or other protocol analyzersYou hold a Cisco and/or third-party Certifications: CCNP/CCIE DC, VCP, RedHat, MCSE, HP, IBM, Dell Server Support certification.
