Role: Sales Business Development Manager
What You'll Do
The Sales Business Development Manager will be an integral member of the Cisco Greater China Strategy & Planning Organization, which supports the APJC sales leaders. The role will be responsible developing 3-5 year long range strategy plan for Cisco Greater China business, drive strategic projects that enable company growth and profitability, conduct business analysis for our product and servcies sales, as well as assessing markets, competitors and competitive change
Specific responsibilities include:
- To support in framing and structuring new projects: being able to help the team articulate the right questions and challenges, and own and lead projects from conception through to completion
- To contribute creative and strategic thinking on projects and to challenge existing perceptions
- To conduct research and gather input from all relevant functional teams
- Liaise with local and/or central teams to collate and analyse data
- Sourcing market data and conducting independent research
- To develop robust and complex analyses to drive strategic insights
- Build scenario-driven models
- Support competitor analysis
- Use creativity to consider analytical problems from a range of angles
- To create top notch presentations and/or memos that deliver strategic insights, analyses and recommendations
Who You'll Work With
As a Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with Cisco APJC cross-regional Strategic & Planning team, Greater China Sales Leadership Team, Cisco Corporate, Services, Partner Sales, other Architecture Sales teams, Marketing, Operations, Cisco Capital, Finance and Cisco's Senior Leadership Team.
Who You Are
• Bachelor or Master degree, preferably MBA, from a top tier university
• 3-5 year experience in a professional services environment (strategy consulting) with a proven track record in developing strategy
• Previous IT/HighTech experience highly valuable
• Is holistic in approach - using deep understanding of the different markets, the customer, business model and long-term technological and competitive change.
• Strongly quantitative, highly analytical, a great modeler and top notch presentations.
• Independent thinker; Is an influential player internally: is respected and whose opinion is sought
