Product Manager

You Will

• Build and communicate a long-term vision for a product portfolio that will drive the team to push the limits of what has been considered possible in Containers and Virtualization
• Collaborate with stakeholders in all arenas including Engineering, Sales and Marketing and drive consensus
• Own a constantly-groomed 3-month roadmap and work in an Agile Scrum process in partnership with Engineering and management
• Mentor a team of junior product managers and others
• Communicate product goals to the team as well as other functional areas of the company on a regular basis and stay on top of the competition
• Act and think independently, track and analyze all components of the platform, and drive integration with customers.
• Proactively gather inputs from Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Sales to provide insights and facilitate alignment between all parts of the business.

Who You'll Work With

Working in Cisco's Cloud Platforms and Solutions Team, you would be working to build world class Container and Virtualization platforms – for the dynamic Public and Private Cloud markets.

You'll join a small, high-caliber team of Container and Virtualization specialists, large scale systems experts, OpenStack and Kubernetes experts, product gurus, and customer champions, who are passionate about the future of the Cloud. We move fast, continuously improve, and deliver high-impact results.

Who You Are

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience at a technology company
• B.A or B.S in Computer Science or related technical field
• Demonstrated capacity for driving product strategy, shipping, and iterating on successful products
• Outstanding interpersonal and analytical abilities
• Ability to thrive working independently, with engineering teams, as well as cross-functionally (sales, marketing)
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills - articulate and able to understand technical subjects/emerging technologies and their relevance

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of Container technologies such as Docker, Openshift, Kubernetes, Nomad, OCI
• Knowledge of OpenStack and related concepts Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, etc…
• Experience with hypervisors such as KVM, VMware ESXi, Hyper-V
• Experience with API creation and documentation
