What You'll Do
Systems Engineers at Cisco are technical leads and trusted advisors to our customers and partners that advice and support Sales teams with pre-sales and deep technical knowledge. You will partner with other members of different organizations and Sales teams in a pre-sales technical role in Enterprise, Commercial and Public Sector accounts and will also work with our Partners.
You'll get to work across the Enterprise Networking portfolio of a variety of Cisco technology solutions, showcasing product solutions, setting up demonstrations and explaining features and benefits. You will work closely with sales and systems engineers partners to develop technical solutions that grow enterprise networking business and will lead complex architecture and designs.
You'll set the pace for the next generation of Cisco sales processes and provide leadership and mentorship to the BUs and Marketing as the voice of the customer.
In this job you will:
- Develop technical Enterprise Networking practices of our customers and partners: plan and deliver technical activities, create intimacy to influence partner's Enterprise Networking practice and provide high-level and detailed technical and sales support for selected account opportunities in the Enterprise Networking space.
- Direct account and partner responsibilities for your assigned territory: Support and synchronize with account teams on Enterprise Networking engagements and projects.
- Understand business requirements for customers and partners and be able to translate them into technical requirements. Assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities
- Understand and articulate Cisco's Enterprise Networking solutions, focusing on Software-Defined Access, DNA Analytics and Assurance, Enterprise Network Security, Cisco SD-WAN Solutions, Wireless and Mobility, Catalyst multi-gigabit switching technology and Meraki cloud-managed networking.
- Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services
- Facilitate better communications and understanding of market requirements between customers, channel, corporate and the field.
- Participate on enablement activities targeting our partner and end-user communities
- Work on the lab, PoC and demos.
- Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects.
- Actively collaborate with other team members, and extended account team. In addition to technological aptitude, and the ability to learn and stay up-to-date.

Who You Are
- You bring several years' pre-sales engineering or technical customer facing experience and knowledge of sales cycles with a deep understanding of the market space and offerings.
- You have an Engineering Degree.
- You are able to understand complex technical and selling situations and to tackle the problem or solicit the required resource.
- Proven technical knowledge and consultative skills on Enterprise Networking related technologies.
- Working knowledge of Switching and Wireless, Software-defined Access solutions, Analytics and Assurance, Sofware defined WAN Solutions and Security.
- Knowledge and experience in Cisco validated designs and cross-architecture solutions.
- Ability to build use case labs, develop content, train and coach others in our Enterprise Networking technologies.
- Deep understanding of application workflows across domains, holistic understanding of controllers and management tools and mode 2 applications (container, PaaS, agile, CI/CD, microservices)
- Software development attitude and experience in modern networking programming languages, APIs and developers toolkits.
- Knowledge on topics like OpenStack, Big Data, DevOps would be a plus
- Great relationship building skills, tenacity, resilience. Ability to work effectively by adding value as a team member and assuming a leadership role for the team.
- Ability to bring people from different departments to the table, to create a safe environment for people, making sure their opinions are heard and addressed. Focus on the team's success rather than individual wins.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills. Ability to train and disseminate information.
- Your interpersonal, presentation and troubleshooting skills evoke passion and confidence.
- Ability to work independently and remotely to accomplish objectives.
- Fluent proficiency in written and spoken English and Portuguese languages
