What You'll Do
The ideal candidate will be a proven security professional with a passion for information security who excels at working on a global team. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, execution, and quality control of strategic programs that mitigate risk to Cisco's supply chain infrastructure and partner connectivity.
This is a very collaborative and cross-functional role that partners closely with many Cisco internal teams, information security teammates, and external parties for success. As a security architect you'll also be expected to work with a diverse group of employees from entry level all the way to the executive levels of leadership.
Who You'll Work With
Cisco's Information Security (Infosec) group is working to evolve next-generation security models and architectures for Cisco to enable our Internet of Things, Trusted Server, Storage, Identity, Secure Administration, Data Center Virtualization and Private Cloud initiatives. To help architect and drive adoption of these models, InfoSec's Enterprise Security team seeks someone with experience, flexibility and good communication skills to provide leadership in the role of Information Security Architect.
Who You Are
- Security fundamentals with a proven understanding of threats, vulnerabilities, risks, defenses, security principles and policies
- Strong background in data network engineering, design, security infrastructure and practices, access-control methodologies, and policy enforcement.
- Server security standard methodologies, host hardening, posture assessment, vulnerability management, device management, IoT, cloud integration capabilities and other host-based security controls
- Experienced in successfully enforcing Supply Chain Security policies and procedures.
- Ability to monitor and report on controls and compliance of supply chain infrastructure security towards business and management.
- Demonstrating the ability to make effective decisions, problem solve and handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
- Having good understanding and insights of the business needs and demonstrating skills to maintain a long-term relationship with internal and external key business partners.
- Intensively engage with cross-functional key stakeholders to comprehend the business strategy and provide integrated supply chain security programs that support the business.
- Proven presentation, demonstration and written communication skills
- Applied conceptual and analytical thinking, problem solving skills
- Enjoying working in a complex stakeholder landscape
