Description: Project Overview:
Responsible for coordination and execution of concurrent running developer-focused events. Engage with regional evangelists and events management leads across cross-functional teams and regions. Responsible all logistic planning, communication to all stockholders and ensuring all events run smoothly.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor event deadlines and ensure they are met across all stakeholders.
- Manage sponsorship contracts and associated purchase orders.
- Manage any content creation and delivery associated with our sponsorship (i. e. providing logos, sponsor description text for a website, etc.), utilizing subject matter experts when needed.
- Order and facilitate delivery of swag to events.
- Print handouts or other marketing materials for distribution at event.
- Order equipment needed to deploy demos at event booth and tabletop spaces.
- facilities and manage event's details such as locations, food, transportation, invitee lists, presenters, equipment, etc.
- Create staffing schedule, and communicate event details to staffers. Manage staffer, speakers and other client users attendee registration for events.
- Draft and manage event correspondence.
- Provide feedback and periodic reports to stakeholders.
- Monitor, and ensure budgets are adhered to.
- Develop procedure systems to ensure successful events.
- Propose ideas to improve on event quality and internal processes.
- Understand and ensure compliance with existing internal policies (legal, health and safety). Proactively handle any issues that arise and troubleshoot problems on event days.
.Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- 3+ years proven event management experience or other relevant experience, such as organizing corporate events, industry conferences, speaker forums, or customer facing events
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, including overseeing complex work streams across multiple functions composed of both technical and non-technical members.
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- An appreciation for cloud technologies and the developer audience (you don't need to be a coder, but this job will bring you deep in technical content) •
- Ability to understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and relevance to the marketplace
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
