What You'll Do

Your role will be Big Data Engineer and you will be part of world-class Software engineering team that works on various ground breaking technologies in providing analytics solutions to networks with Enterprise Switches and Routers connecting to Cloud applications. Responsibilities:

Participate on a project team of engineers involved in the development of software for our next generation analytics solutions.

Participate in an agile software development lifecycle

Develop big data platform in Hadoop using pipeline technologies such as Spark, Oozie, and more to support a variety of requirements and network use cases.

Build data ETL processes, verifying data accuracy, and designing complex interactions between data fields.

Minimize operational costs by leveraging the best technology and architecture

You have a strong background in software development including specification, implementation and testing.

From a technical point of view you should have some familiarity with the following areas:

. Scala, Python, Linux, Bash, Hadoop, SQL, NoSQL

. Map Reduce, Spark, Oozie

. Good experience in massively parallel processing & columnar databases.

. Experience in building reporting and real-time business intelligence frameworks

Typically requires MSEE/CS or BSEE/CS combined with 2 yrs related experience.
