What You'll Do
The Architect will be responsible for identifying Customer challenges and craft operational business proposals and solutions.
Translate: The Architect will be able to bridge between IT and the board room. You will be able to explain technical challenges in a business context and vice versa. They can articulate how business requirements translate into design decisions and how design decisions enable/impact the business
Integrate: The Architect will understand the technical environment end-to-end. You will be expected to know how changes in one architecture could impact another architecture. If there are multiple architectures and partners involved, you will be responsible for the coordination of everything in the technical solution - they don't need to know everything, but they need to synchronize the people who do
Bridge: The Architect is the bridge between pre-sales and post-sales. You will need to partner with the other Cisco teams to ensure we have a smooth transition from what we've sold (and the associated customer expectations) and what we ultimately deliver
Expand: The Architect will have a unique relationship with the operations and architecture teams. Your role will be to feed intelligence back into the account team to enable them to sell more. You will instinctively know that a competitor is having challenges and make recommendations to the Client Exec that it is a good day to talk about a relevant Cisco solution. The Architect should help expand our relevance and enable the product sales team.
Who You'll Work With
As the Architect, your role will sit within the team reporting into the Senior Manager of Service Delivery in Northern Europe. Similar to the Service Delivery Manager, you will have an integral partnership with the counterpart in the Services Sales team.
Who You Are
You'll have a deep understanding of Customer Business and IT Strategies
Ideally you focus on one at least one of the following areas: DC, RS, Enterprise Network Security
Well known for your Technical Excellence and have a natural ability to converse in both technical and executive audiences
Broad Technical experience (CCIE highly preferred)
Deep understanding of Cisco Services Portfolio
Expert in Services Tools & Automation
Experienced management consultant with the ability to understand customer business and technology environment (at industry and corporate level) that influence strategic architecture and technology decisions
You'll be known for your keen problem solving, critical thinking, active listening and negotiating skills
Change Management
Business Writing, Board Level Presentation and Communication skills
Leadership and Innovation
Fluent English as well as local language are required
Security Clearance, or ability to get one
