We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Systems Analyst Co-op to join our dynamic team. As a Systems Analyst Co-op, you will play a key role in working on maintenance incidents and enhancements aimed at improving business and user experience. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about technology space and eager to grow their skills within a collaborative environment.

In an effort to foster collaboration and partner with clients, co-op students will be required to be in the office multiple times a week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the Business Analysts to understand requirements;
• Building rapport and developing effective working relationships with clients;
• Working with Architects and Technical Leads to understand the software;
• Performing smoke and regression tests to validate new releases;
• Working with business partners to understand trouble reports;
• Confirming incidents, taking full ownership and leading the team to resolution.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Must be in a Co-op Accredited program;
• Post-secondary university or college student working towards a degree or diploma, preferably in Computer Science/IT or related IT discipline;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and organizational skills;
• Knowledge of ITIL processes;
• Knowledge of databases and data models;
• Outstanding analysis and problem-solving skills to proactively and quickly address issues;
• Strong technical skills to understand the potential and the limitations of information technology;
• Ability to analyze the scope, requirements and issues and define the work effort required to address them;
• Ability to take control of issues and manage them to resolution in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment;
• Excellent analytical/documentation skills;
• Experience using Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, SharePoint and Microsoft Project.

Nice to have:
• Experience working with Java, .Net, SQL and/or Atlassian Jira.
