Position Description:

This position is located in our Cleveland, Ohio office, however a hybrid working model is acceptable.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Business Analyst to join our banking originations team.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of banking processes, specifically loan and account originations, and will be responsible for analyzing business needs, gathering requirements, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions. This role requires excellent communication and analytical skills to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring successful project delivery.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Requirements Gathering: Work with business stakeholders to identify and document detailed business requirements for loan and account origination projects.
• Process Analysis: Analyze and map existing banking originations processes, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation.
• Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to translate business needs into technical specifications, ensuring alignment between business objectives and system functionality.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure clear communication of project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to support decision-making related to originations processes, customer onboarding, and regulatory compliance.
• Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to ensure solutions meet business requirements and function as intended, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of system changes.
• Project Support: Assist in project management activities, including status reporting, risk management, and issue resolution, ensuring timely delivery of originations-related initiatives.
• Documentation: Create detailed documentation, including process flows, functional specifications, and user manuals, to ensure clarity and consistency across teams.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all solutions meet regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly in areas such as lending, customer onboarding, and data security.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience within the banking originations process.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field. A professional certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) is a plus.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the financial services or banking industry, with a focus on originations (loans and accounts).
• Banking Knowledge: Strong understanding of loan origination systems (LOS), customer onboarding processes, and banking regulatory requirements.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools such as Agile, Jira, and Confluence. Proficiency in data analysis tools like SQL or Excel is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to assess complex processes and recommend effective solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey business requirements to technical teams and present solutions to stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in requirements, documentation, and testing activities.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in digital transformation projects, particularly in banking originations.
• Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance standards.
• Experience working with loan origination systems (LOS) and customer onboarding platforms.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76,300 - $150,200.
