Position Description:

CGI is seeking an experienced Talent Planner (also known as Workforce Manager). As a member of CGI’s Atlantic Business Unit, you will be joining the Operational Services group which services 850+ CGI members across several locations in Canada.

Here is a unique opportunity to be part of a team which is responsible to establish recruitment strategies to proactively source, attract and select top talent; to ensure effective onboarding and integration of new talent; to partner with Hiring Managers to identify, develop and retain top talent; and to optimize tools, systems and reporting related to Talent Management.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Coordinate the complete cycle of activities linked to the opening and closing of job postings
• Meet with Hiring Managers to identify their needs, review sourcing strategy & screening criteria
• Conduct proactive internal searches using internal talent planning tool, screen internal applicants and, if qualified, present them to the Hiring Managers
• Organize interviews between internal candidates and Hiring Managers. If there is no internal candidate, transfer the request to the talent acquisition team
• Ensure the description used for the posting corresponds to the Hiring Manager’s needs, is complete and professional
• Act as a coach to both internal candidates and Hiring Managers and propose creative three-way moves when possible
• Track progress; provide assistance and follow-up with Hiring Managers, other Talent Planners (WFM) and potentially the Talent Acquisition teams in various business units in order to ensure an efficient staffing process
• For proposal requests, search for resumes that meet criteria, and review with requestor
• Document various resourcing processes
• Provide input and suggestions for process improvements
• Update various reports
• Act as the Single Point Of Contact for members not on assignment:
* Help them complete their profiles and resumes
* Provide regular updates and follow-up for potential opportunities
* Coordinate “call back” related activities
* Assist members and leaders with opportunity searches
* Schedule interviews, acquire feedback
* Maintain activity log per member

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Good understanding of technical profiles in IT
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a workforce manager in a IT solutions environment
• College or University level education (human resources, industrial relations)
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple changing priorities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Capability to positively influence stakeholders
• Respect and adherence to company policies and procedures
• Deep proficiency with MS Excel (specifically) and MS-Office
• Knowledge of resource management tools would be an asset
