Position Description:

The Corporate Treasury team is dedicated to implementing best practices in order to effectively support CGI’s global banking operations. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to concrete initiatives and continuous improvement projects that have a real impact on the company’s operations.

The intern will support the Treasury team in its banking management activities. The primary responsibility of the role is to process the closure of bank accounts identified by the team, while also contributing to various projects aimed at optimizing processes and strengthening banking governance.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Bank Account Closures

• Participate in identifying bank accounts to be closed;
• Verify the accuracy of required documentation, information, and approvals;
• Communicate with financial institutions to complete or validate required information;
• Coordinate the collection of signatures from authorized signatories;
• Update internal tracking tools and ensure full traceability of completed actions.

Participation in Treasury Banking Activities and Projects

• Contribute to various bank management–related projects, including:
o optimization of the banking structure;
o improvement of internal procedures, controls, and processes;
• Participate in the bank confirmation process for auditors;
• Collaborate with financial institutions (account openings, changes, updates to authorized signatories, account reviews);
• Take part in the team’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Strong interest in treasury, banking services, or corporate finance;
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English;
• High level of accuracy, autonomy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a structured environment;
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role, which involves interactions with both national and international clients.
