Senior Technical Consultant - NetApp
UNITED KINGDOM
Job description
Position Description:
At CGI, you will be at the forefront of delivering enterprise-grade NetApp solutions that underpin some of our clients’ most critical technology environments. This role is centred on deep technical ownership, where your NetApp expertise directly shapes resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure outcomes. Working across complex consulting engagements, you will translate business needs into robust architectures, lead deployments end to end, and help clients realise measurable value from their storage and data platforms. Supported by a collaborative culture that encourages ownership and innovation, you will have the opportunity to influence design decisions, mentor others, and make a lasting impact across high-profile programmes.
CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.
Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
In this role, you will take technical leadership of NetApp-focused consulting engagements, owning design input and the deployment of complex storage and infrastructure solutions within customer environments across EMEA. You will work closely with client teams to translate business and operational requirements into detailed NetApp architectures, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and production ready. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will engage confidently with infrastructure, network, and security stakeholders, guiding projects from initial design input through to implementation, testing, and final handover.
You will also contribute to the development of repeatable solution designs and best practices, supporting wider teams through mentoring and knowledge sharing. With strong backing from CGI, you will balance hands-on delivery with architectural oversight, helping clients achieve resilient data platforms while delivering projects within agreed scope and timelines.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead & Own Delivery: Act as technical lead for NetApp-centric consulting engagements, from design input to deployment and sign-off.
Architect & Design: Create detailed architectures using NetApp ONTAP (AFF & FAS), MetroCluster, and StorageGRID.

Assure & Document: Manage testing, production readiness, and customer acceptance, producing high-quality design and as-built documentation.
Mentor & Support: Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams across large and strategic programmes.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
You will be a senior-level consultant with deep, hands-on NetApp experience and a strong background in enterprise infrastructure delivery.
