Position Description:

We're looking for an experienced ML/Data Engineer to take ownership of machine learning operations and model lifecycle management across Domino and Amazon SageMaker platforms. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring models are reliable, traceable, and production-ready—from development through deployment and monitoring.

You'll work closely with data scientists, engineers, and governance teams to build scalable pipelines, implement experiment tracking, and uphold standards around model performance, explainability, and compliance. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on MLOps, platform integration, and model quality.

This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable. 

Your future duties and responsibilities:

You'll work closely with finance and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into practical, high-impact data solutions. The position also involves improving existing reporting tools, ensuring data accuracy, and optimizing performance across analytics platforms. Success in this role requires a balance of technical expertise, business understanding, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Solid experience working with AWS, especially SageMaker in production environments
. Strong Python skills with practical experience in ML development
. Hands-on use of MLflow for experiment tracking and model lifecycle management
. Experience building and maintaining data pipelines (training, validation, inference)
. Familiarity with Domino Data Lab or similar ML platforms
. Understanding of model evaluation techniques, including explainability and bias/fairness checks
. Comfortable working with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
. Exposure to MLOps practices and deploying models across environments
. Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.​

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $80,600.00 - $188,100.00.
