Position Description:

CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.

We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable. 

Your future duties and responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer​ to support the design, development, and maintenance of complex, enterprise-level applications. This role involves working across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through deployment and ongoing support.

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with Java-based technologies, modern front-end frameworks, cloud services, and application performance optimization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to code quality through reviews and best practices, and help ensure applications are secure, scalable, and reliable.
This is a hybrid role with a preference for candidates based in Reston, VA (Plano, TX is also an option).

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 7+ years of professional software development experience
. Prior experience working as an application developer on large-scale or enterprise systems
. Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot
. Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript and Angular
. Experience with Python and SQL for backend services and data access
. Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based application development
. Solid understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
. Experience conducting code reviews and promoting clean, maintainable code
. Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
. Experience with application performance monitoring, observability, and related tools
. Exposure to managing and resolving cybersecurity vulnerabilities
. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on high-complexity, system-level applications
. Comfortable working with enterprise databases, application servers, and distributed system architectures

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $95,800.00 - $154,300.00.
