Senior Full Stack Developer (Azure)

Job description

Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 2-3 days per week - subject to change at any time. 

Your future duties and responsibilities:

1.    Building RESTful services, Web services, JSON, XML & Tomcat
2.    Developing front-end interfaces using Angular
3.    Familiarity with Java (including JDBC, EJB, JSP/JSF, Spring Boot, etc.)
4.    Experience with Cloud native applications such as Azure App Services, AKS, Azure APIM, etc.
5.    Knowledge of Oracle, Azure SQL, and mutual funds industry would be bonus(es)
 
Sr. Full Stack Developer/Software Engineer
In this role, you will…
1. Work in an agile team, as well as collaborate with other teams to design, develop,
and deliver high quality software solutions.
2. Oversee the unit testing of program logic, data processing, and error resolution.
3. Conduct research on emerging application development software products,
languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
4. Complement the team with technical leadership as well as mentoring of junior
developers

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must Have skills:

1. Build applications using Java language, frameworks and technologies such as:
JDBC, EJB, JSP/JSF, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Hibernate, Spring Security
2. Experience with developing and deployment of cloud native applications utilizing
azure app services, AKS (azure Kubernetes services), azure APIM, azure developer
portal
3. Building RESTful services, Web services, JSON, XML & Tomcat
4. Developing front end interfaces using Angular
5. Understanding new concepts and technologies quickly and apply them accurately
through an evolving, dynamic environment.
6. Work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative, agile environment.
7. Lead, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

The following is not required but will be a bonus:
1. Experience with Oracle or another relational database
2. Exposure to Azure SQL / Data Warehouse
3. Knowledge of mutual funds, equities, CDS/ATON, DTCC systems/ data/API
standards is an asset

*CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
