Position Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for front-end product design and development, creating digital products across a variety of hosting environments, including AWS. This role requires expertise in modern web application environments and frameworks, as well as a strong focus on security and compliance. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Design and develop user-facing interfaces and dashboards, ensuring responsive web application development using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue.
Develop digital products in various hosting environments, including AWS, ensuring high-quality front-end design and functionality.
Utilize AWS Amplify-based presentation layers to enhance the user experience and streamline development processes.
Implement markdown-based web-content presentation for standards and guidance documents, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
Ensure development complies with Section 508 / WCAG accessibility standards, as well as NIST standards and the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS), when requested or appropriate.
Utilize expertise in Bootstrap, Angular, NodeJS, .Net, custom Drupal themes and/or modules, or other comparable web application environments and frameworks to create robust and scalable web applications.
Develop digital products using JavaScript/jQuery and CSS/sass, ensuring responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
Embed and integrate dashboards, iframes, or other data science prototypes into websites or web applications, enhancing functionality and user experience.
Implement secure front-end applications that allow for user authentication and access controls, tailored to data and model sensitivity classification.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of front-end development with overall project goals and objectives.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Proven experience as a Front-End Developer with expertise in front-end product design and development.
Strong proficiency in modern web application environments and frameworks, including Bootstrap, Angular, NodeJS, .Net, and custom Drupal themes/modules.
Experience in responsive web application development using frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue.
Familiarity with AWS Amplify-based presentation layers and markdown-based web-content presentation.
Knowledge of Section 508 / WCAG accessibility compliance, NIST standards, and the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS).
Strong understanding of security best practices, including user authentication and access controls.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and collaborate with stakeholders.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $80,600.00 - $176,300.00.
