Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced ETL Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating data transformations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data as it moves from source to target systems. You will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to verify the functionality and performance of our ETL processes and data warehouse implementations.

Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

*Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to create detailed and well-structured test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
*Write complex SQL queries to perform rigorous data validation across different databases and systems, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
*Execute manual and automated tests for ETL jobs, data transformations, and data loading processes to identify defects and inconsistencies.
*Identify, document, and track defects from discovery through to resolution using defect tracking tools like JIRA. Work closely with the development team to ensure defects are resolved in a timely manner.
*Perform end-to-end testing of data workflows, from source data extraction to final report generation, to ensure the entire data pipeline meets requirements.
*Create and maintain clear and concise testing artifacts, including test evidence, summary reports, and final signoffs.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

•Experience: 4 – 5 + years of proven experience as an ETL Tester or Data Quality Analyst.
•SQL Proficiency: Expert-level ability to write complex SQL queries (including joins, subqueries, and aggregate functions) for data validation.
•ETL & Data Warehousing: Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing principles (e.g., Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Dimensions, Facts).
•Testing Methodology: Solid knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
•ETL Tools: Hands-on experience testing with one or more major ETL tools (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, IBM DataStage, Microsoft SSIS).
•Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

Good-to-Have Skills:
•Domain Knowledge: Experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain is a significant plus.
•Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or Google Cloud Dataflow.
•Big Data Technologies: Exposure to testing Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Hive.
•Test Automation: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automating data validation processes.
Reporting Tools: Experience validating data in BI and reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
