Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Position Description: We are seeking a hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration Developer to design, configure, and extend PolicyCenter to meet P&C business requirements. You'll work closely with business analysts, solution architects, integration teams, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality policy administration capabilities across new product launches, rate/quote/bind flows, and enterprise integrations.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Configuration & Development Configure PolicyCenter entities, typelists, product model (LOBs, coverables, modifiers), rating worksheets, UIs (PCF), workflows, and rules. Develop business logic in Gosu (rules, enhancements, plugins) and extend data model as needed. Build/maintain rating (Rating Engine, rating tables, pricing, discounts/surcharges).
• Integrations & Data Implement and support batch processes, and messaging for downstream systems (billing, claims, document generation, party/CRM, data warehouse).
• Quality & Delivery Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, support SIT/UAT, and triage defects. Adhere to Guidewire best practices, performance guidelines, and coding standards. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation with DevOps.
• Collaboration Partner with BAs to refine user stories and acceptance criteria. Provide estimates, identify risks, and support sprint ceremonies (Agile/Scrum). Create technical documentation (designs, integration specs, deployment/runbooks).
• Support & Optimization Assist with production support, performance tuning, and environment hardening. Recommend improvements for scalability, maintainability, and reusability.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must-Have Skills:
• 4-6 years’ experience focused on Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and Gosu development.
• Strong hands-on with: Gosu, PCF (Page Configuration Files), Data Model (entities/typelists), Rules/Workflows, Product Model, Rating. Integration patterns (SOAP/REST), messaging, event handling, batch processing. Working knowledge of Guidewire Studio, Databases (Oracle/SQL Server/).
• Practical understanding of P&C insurance life cycle: new business, endorsements, renewals, cancellations/reinstatements, rewrites, mid-term changes.
• Domain knowledge in Commercial Lines and/or Personal Lines.
• Experience with Agile delivery, Git-based version control, branching strategies, and code review practices.

Good-to-Have:
• Exposure to Guidewire Cloud / PolicyCenter Cloud (GOSU + Cloud-specific services).
• Experience with BillingCenter / ClaimCenter and common cross-app integrations.
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Artifactory, containerization basics.
• Performance profiling and tuning (heap, GC, query optimization).
