Position Description:
The BANK platform is using the Murex V3 solution for its Front Office fixed income and credit derivative activity. Trading is ensured 24/24 from Asia to the US, with teams deployed in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Paris, New York, and Montreal.
Murex is the key element to ensure real-time control of PNL and sensitivities, produce end-of-day (EOD) risk indicators, and support regulatory reporting on the credit/rates derivatives perimeter. As part of the team maintaining this central piece of IT architecture, you will deal with a particularly wide and rich scope — in terms of functional coverage, implemented Murex modules, and the variety of stakeholders you will interact with.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
You will be part of the Murex Credit/Rates Functional Support team with a focus on the Front Office. Your main task will be to keep the day-to-day operations of the business running smoothly by resolving incidents, answering requests and queries from traders and other system users, and driving continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the platform's stability and quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide daily functional support to Front Office users (mainly traders and Sales) and ensure clear, proactive communication with all stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents in collaboration with other Murex support teams.
- Perform daily operational checks and ensure the stability of production environments.
- Work closely with developers to deliver long-term solutions and enhancements that improve system performance and usability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform quality, reduce incidents, and streamline user experience.
- Collaborate efficiently with global support teams in Paris, New York, Hong Kong, and Bangalore to ensure seamless follow-the-sun coverage.
- Deliver user training sessions and produce clear documentation for end users.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Strong understanding of financial markets, particularly in Credit Derivatives, Fixed Income, Repos, and Interest Rate Derivatives.
- Solid knowledge of vanilla financial products, including valuation principles and risk sensitivities.
- Prior experience working directly with Front Office traders in a high-pressure trading environment – ability to communicate effectively and manage expectations.
- Good knowledge of Murex Front-Office tools on MX.III (Pricing, Simulation, Market Data, Standard Reports).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, challenging, and time-sensitive environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working offshore is a plus.
-Langue : English mandatory, French is an asset.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interactions with domestic and global clients.
The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the individual in this position will be expected to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
