Business Analysts (Agile development)

Position Description
Be part of something exciting! Do you want to take control of your future? Are you ready for the responsibility of working with high profile clients in the world’s most exciting sectors? Do you want to take your career to the next level as part of one of the big five IT and business process firms in the world who will give you a direct stake in its success? We are evolving a new digital team of agile service design specialists, building and delivering user centred services and solutions in partnership with our clients based in Bristol or London.

We are looking for talented business analysts with a keen eye for the latest technological trends and open source technologies, to join our agile team and to help us build some of the greatest digital hubs in the London and Bristol areas. Whether you are based in Bristol or London, you will need to be comfortable being on a client site local to you, five days a week.

CGI offers a competitive compensation package with opportunities for growth and professional development. Flexible hours and remote working possibilities are offered as part of this role as well as other excellent benefits including pension and share purchase matching schemes.

Your future duties and responsibilities
We are looking for Business Analysts who have experience working as part of multi-disciplinary teams using Agile methodologies to deliver citizen and employee facing digital services. You will support and manage product backlogs and perform analysis to enable development. As a Business Analyst you will also work with other CGI members, contributing to a knowledge sharing culture within the Business Analyst Community and the wider CGI team. We work with key UK Government clients to develop their interfaces to their stakeholders. We also help them to manage the information received through these channels. You could be working on projects helping our clients develop everything from public Government websites through to mobile applications or even voice controlled personal assistant integrations for devices such as Google Home or Amazon Alexa.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
In order to be successful in the role of Business Analyst, you will need to have demonstrable experience of providing business analysis capability within a multi-disciplinary team following Agile methodologies for product development. You’ll also have experience of Behaviour-Driven Development, eliciting and managing a backlog of clearly defined user stories, non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria using agile project management tools like Jira and Trello.
You should have a track record of playing a leading role in the Agile Delivery Lifecycle, ensuring effective collaboration between business experts, user researchers, user experience designers and technical team members. You will have good experience of using a range of analysis and modelling techniques to capturing current and target operating models, business functions and processes, logic and rules, information flows and data structures. We need our Business Analysts to be curious and creative and have excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills, with excellent attention to detail. If this sounds like you and you want a new challenge, we will be very interested in talking to you.
To complement the service design and agile skills, it would be an advantage if you also had any of the following experience;
• Experience of delivering digitally enabled business transformation.
• Demonstrable evidence of prototyping, wireframing, process mapping, writing user stories, storyboards and using scenarios and personas to create user journeys.
• Knowledge of industry tools like JIRA, Confluence, Axure, MS Visio, Trello, Balsamiq and Enterprise Architect.
• Proven experience working in the Public Sector and with the Digital by Default service standard.
• Experience of working with Domain Driven Design or Test Driven Development.
• Experience of investigating operational issues and new opportunities and seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automation or new or changed processes/procedures, organisation and equipment.
• Formal certification in Business Analysis or Agile Business Analysis (BCS/IIBA)
The role will involve some travel to other CGI offices and also client sites as required. Travel away from base office will be expensed. You must be eligible for UK Security Clearance to SC level. If you do not hold currently this level of clearance we will support you through this process.
