We are seeking a professional like you to serve as Technology and Business Scout for our Performance Materials business in Wyandotte, MI. In this role, you will turn successful innovation projects in to new products or services that serve our customers’ strategic goals.

Your keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills will serve you well as you screen, analyze, and evaluate market and technology trends that can help address global megatrends and maintain BASF’s position as a world leader in diverse industries (e.g., construction, health and nutrition, performance materials). Demonstrating your project management skills and ability to collaborate effectively, you will bring project ideas to life - maturing unstructured ideas to proof-of-concepts and prototypes in partnership with business partners and other key stakeholders. Leveraging your education and professional experience, you will turn successful innovation projects into new products or services that serve our customers’ strategic goals. Successfully engaging inside and outside the organization, you will cultivate relationships, manage innovation communities, and spark open innovation with industry leaders, academic institutions, start-ups, and others to create synergistic partnerships that accelerate BASF innovation and affiliated technologies. Your commitment to innovation will be a valued asset as you present ideas and results to build our team’s network and reputation. You will also design and lead informative, thought-provoking events that spread innovation thinking at BASF. Your strong business/financial acumen will be essential as you plan and control project budgets, actively pursuing alignment and meeting approval processes.Leveraging your experience in digitalization, you will actively scout digital innovation leads and opportunities and ways for BASF to capture the value created.
