During your time as a Sr. Operator Farm you will…

 

·  Be responsible to execute the operational work related to the RD Farm with Open Field Crop growing and maintenance activities in an efficient and effective manner to provide the necessary support to the Breeding, Research, Operations, PD and M&S teams under the direction of the Acampo Farm Foreman.

·  Find technical solutions and improvements in the daily activities to ensure efficient and effective support to all programs.

·  Ensure that Farm protocols and work practices at site conform to global EHS, RC implementation standards, Hygiene and Stewardship policies and local laws and regulations.

·  Perform regular maintenance of Farm equipment, irrigation system and fields.

·  Use farm facilities in a proper and safe way, following company regulations and guidelines.

·  Use computer systems for irrigation, fertilization, pesticide, and operational administration tasks.

 

If you...

 

·  Have a High School degree or equivalent.

·  Own a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the areas of farm, agriculture and crop management.

·  Possess knowledge on farm equipment operation and maintenance as well as on crop management and crop growing concepts (e.g., pest control - irrigation – nutrition) measures and application.

·  Have demonstrated knowledge on farm safety principles, are able to communicate and perform with members of different disciplines in a diverse team and build and enhance trust as a collaborator and partner.

·  Own basic computer skills, are solution and detail oriented.

·  Possess a valid Driver’s License and can obtain and Pesticide Applicators License.

Pay Transparency

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range/starting wage for this role is $19.36 - $30. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
