We are seeking a professional like you to join our team.  In this role, you will be responsible for Site Controlling at the Vidalia production site. This is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your knowledge of BASF policies and procedures, your general understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS, and internal control techniques. You will also share your advanced problem solving and analytical abilities, as well as your advanced knowledge of relevant SAP modules, MS Office, and basic skills in PowerBI.

As a Site Controller, You Create Chemistry By...

·  Taking over responsibility from day one for month-end closing, reporting, budgeting and forecasting tasks of site and assigned warehouses/tollers for cost, CapEx and OpEx.
·  Interpreting, directing, and ensuring compliance with Corporate Accounting Policies and Procedures. This includes ensuring that adequate internal controls are maintained so that inventories, M&E and other company assets are protected during all phases of plant operations. Additionally, you will support site physical inventory to ensure proper controls and execution and support BASF financials reviews for both internal and external auditors.
·  Acting as a business partner for the operations team at the site and drive target achievement of the major financial KPIs. Therefore, you will initiate own projects or support global activities from the BU at your site.
·  Collaborating with Corporate Accounting to ensure understanding/awareness of business activities and associated financial statement impacts.
·  Being responsible for all general and cost accounting which includes systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
·  Working well independently with the ability to make decisions on complex situations, involve the appropriate level of management, understand risk, and be accountable, you will direct the preparation of the site Operating Plan/Forecast and assure accuracy and reasonableness of all forward-looking data used for business group projections. You will also ensure that the annual rate development process supports the annual spending plan and support capital planning and management processes.
·  Driving or supporting an environment of continuous improvement, you will champion new ideas especially regarding digitalization and foster a team environment.

If you...

·  Have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance, and 3-5 years of experience in business accounting and auditing at the site and corporate level. 
·  Are knowledgeable of management accounting and inventory control methods.
·  Have ability to develop, analyze, interpret and communicate financial information.
·  Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and management (to include oral and written presentations) and have negotiation skills.
