We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving talent management initiatives, implementing strategic HR activities, and providing expert advice to senior leadership. This position goes beyond traditional HR functions, focusing on shaping and executing HR strategies that align with organizational goals.
The position will report to the Head of Human Resources, Petrochemicals N.A. The incumbent can sit in Pasadena, TX, Houston, TX, or Freeport, Texas, and will be expected to be at a BASF office 3x per week.
As a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner, you will be contributing to five main areas: Talent Management, Strategic HR Activities, Organizational Effectiveness, Culture and Engagement, and Leadership Development.

As a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner, You Create Chemistry By...
· Developing and implementing comprehensive talent management, leadership capabilities, and cultural strategies to attract, retain, and develop top-tier talent.
· Collaborating with department leaders to identify key skills and competencies, ensuring a robust pipeline of talent for critical roles.
· Driving succession planning initiatives and working closely with leadership to identify and develop high-potential employees.
· Leading the development and execution of HR strategies that support the overall business objectives (approx. 400 employees) over 4 different manufacturing sites (Pasadena, TX, Freeport, TX, Geismar, LA, and Cornwall, Canada). You will receive local HR day-to-day support at Freeport, Geismar, and Cornwall.
· Spearheading employee development programs to foster a continuous learning culture based on employee survey feedback in partnership with leaders.
· Analyzing HR metrics to identify trends, develop insights, and recommend proactive solutions.
· Partnering with mid-level to senior-level leaders to enhance organizational effectiveness by assessing and improving team structures, processes, and workflows.
· Guiding communication planning and change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes.
· Serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR matters, offering insights and solutions that align with business objectives.
· Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, overseeing and periodically conducting thorough investigations with strong partnership and alignment with our local HRBPs and corporate compliance team.
· Providing coaching and mentorship to senior leaders to enhance their leadership skills and effectiveness.
· Overseeing and supporting training and development of first-time supervisors from the shop floor to senior leader.
If you have...
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.
· Experience in HR roles with a focus on talent management, project management, and/or strategic HR activities.
· Overseen end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring successful stakeholder engagement and effective change management strategies.
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and drive results.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization, and the ability and willingness to lead HR-related trainings (presentations) across leaders and individual contributors.
· Proven history of successfully developing and implementing talent management strategies.
· Strong understanding of HR best practices and willingness to continue benchmarking and keeping abreast of industry trends.
· Ability to travel and work from other sites (Houston, Pasadena and Freeport, TX) on a regular basis, dependent on regular work location.
