Job description

BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018 and officially commenced in November 2019, BASF Zhanjiang Verbund Site Project would be BASF’s largest investment with up to US$10 billion upon completion and would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. BASF Zhanjiang Verbund site would ultimately be the third-largest BASF site worldwide, and will be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the latest digital technologies and applying the highest safety standards.

Main Tasks：

- EHS management: According to corporate, company and statutory EHS requirements, implement the relevant safety and environment protection policies and procedures together with EHS colleagues.
Be responsible for waste incineration with compliance to EHS laws, regulations, and GB codes.
- Project phase: Be responsible for waste incineration plant technical review, including PID and 3-D Model review, SHE reviews and follow up. Technically be responsible for construction quality monitoring and PUNCH. Technically be responsible for (pre) commissioning, PSSR and initial startup. Be responsible for operation procedure/WI compiling and training according to job allocation. Support wastes categorization and disposal channel discussion and define. Support WDS (waste data sheet) define and waste MABAS build up in SAP. Support to Waste 4.0 implementation.
- Operation phase: Be responsible for process management of waste incineration plant and auxiliary facilities including : PID management and process optimization; Alarm, interlocks, and process control management; MOC; Technical training; Technically be responsible reliable, economical waste incineration in compliance; Technical support waste disposal method optimization; Be responsible for smart waste incineration.
- To fulfill other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degrees above majored in Chemicals or Environment Protection, master’s degrees preferred.
- Professional experience in waste disposal or EHS management, (min. 3 years, 5 years or more expected)
- English skills, Mandarin language skills
- Effective communication and integrity.
