Battery Materials and Battery Recycling are key focus areas for BASF. At BASF’s Schwarzheide site, near Dresden, first plants in these exciting new fields are already constructed. At our Schwarzheide site we also produce polyurethane base products, foams, coatings, engineering plastics, finishing chemicals and fungicides. RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Project Engineering Europe unit offers demand-optimized engineering services for our internal customers at the BASF Group sites in Germany and other European countries.
· For the Electrical Power Supply unit you will plan investment projects and plant modifications in the area of low, medium and high voltage and in doing so, you will have the opportunity to support our carbon management initiatives.
· In coordination with the project management you will take over subtasks of conceptual and detailed planning.
· You will create and revise single line diagrams, dimension equipment and lay it out. You will also perform network calculations.
· For the procurement of equipment you will prepare specifications. In addition, you participate in contract award negotiations and take part in acceptance tests.
· Last but not least, you will manage suppliers during project execution and review supplier documents.
QUALIFICATIONS
· completed studies in electrical engineering and several years of relevant professional experience, ideally also in the environment of renewable energies
· sound knowledge in the field of electrical power supply or high voltage technology as well as in project management and engineering
· creative solution finding and the ability to identify the needs of customers and partners
· authentic communication in German and English and strong interest in contributing to sustainability
· mobility, flexibility and willingness to relocate within Europe
