Job description
Main Objective of the Position
The responsibilities for this team include the processing and review of multi state (US) and province (CA) biweekly and semi-monthly payrolls for exempt and non-exempt employees. Ensures accurate and timely processing according to the payroll schedule and special off cycle payments. The payroll process involves ensuring all elements driving an employee’s gross and net pay are properly reflected in the payroll process. Including the time and attendance management for non-exempt and exempt employees following each site pay rules.
Main Tasks
· Process designated payrolls and review results for accuracy.
· Work closely with other service center team members to ensure all pre-payroll and post payroll-processing activities are managed effectively (taxes, 401k, direct deposit, etc.).
· Liaison with many other departments within HR (e.g. Compensation, relocation team, International HR Team, HR Managers, Benefits LOA, HR Operations etc.) on HR payroll administration to improve data quality and accuracy.
· Processing of off cycle payroll and special payment processing
· Research and resolution of employee inquiries (taxation, direct deposit, time and attendance) both in written or in scheduled meetings.
· Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and wage and hour laws that impact systems and processes.
· Participates in internal and external audits.
· Participates as a Subject Matter Expert in initiatives including harmonization of processes, time and attendance projects and system upgrades.
· Timesheet review: Pull time reports and check accuracy to avoid timesheet errors such us: Incorrect OT hours, incorrect punches, duplicated entries, or any other error that might have a negative impact on final pay.
· Time Approval: Answer questions related to time approvals. Work with employees or supervisors to have time approved on time before payroll runs. And if it is not approved properly, work with them to see if it was a training issue, IT issue, or such.
Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position
· Education | Advanced students or graduates of University Careers related to the role to be performed (Administration, Accountant, Labor Relations, etc.).
· Working Experience | 1-3 years of administrative, accounting or similar work experience
· Language skills | Advanced English
· Technical Skills | Advanced Microsoft Office and desired SAP
· Soft Skills | Effective communication, customer orientation, analytical thinking with attention to detail, data analysis for problem solving, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team under pressure.
