We are seeking a Seed Site Logistics Technician to join our Seeds and Traits business. As a Seed Site Logistics Technician, you will be responsible for leading the daily activities of the fuzzy cotton seed warehouse. Support internal/external logistics, and other processes in a team-based warehouse environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including warehouse planning, quality management, equipment, and facilities maintenance. Will facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in "core skill" areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to seed quality and logistics.
During your time as a Seed Site Logistics Technician, you will…
· Work closely with the Site Leadership team to utilize company assets by sharing personnel and peak workload shifts between warehouses due to the progression of seasonal activities as well as interact with QA personnel, office personnel and truckers in shipping and receiving of bulk inventory.
· Assist in training warehouse contractual personnel in procedures to accomplish segregation of varieties in bulk storage. Lead EHS safety processes while building site safety culture through safety training, safety behavior feedback and leveraging equipment certifications.
· Be responsible for site procedures to ensure the accuracy of paperwork involving shipping, storage and inventory are completed daily. Make sure all trucks are loaded in a timely manner, ensuring the accuracy of each load. Make sure unloading of trucks in timely manner and performed to site safety standards.
· Lead warehouse team in completing annual site summer maintenance projects. Assist team members in carrying out routine warehouse maintenance projects and repair of any damaged buildings. Partner with vendors to optimize asset reliability through timely equipment PM schedule.
· Maintain equipment quality inspection reports for loaders, warehouse storage bays and shipping trucks. Work with QA lab personnel to ensure all seed sampling and warehouse location inspections are completed to BASF standards. Leverage site technology systems to maintain accurate, timely load procedures and ensure all loads are processed by end of business day close out.
· Be flexible to site warehouse location change movements, be motivated and willing to experience different daily tasks. Take ownership of all aspects of site responsibilities, willing to learn and assist in all areas of site operations as needed.
If you...
· Have a High School Diploma or GED.
· Possess 3+ years of experience in warehouse/inventory control, quality control or related experience such as farming and/or manufacturing work.
· Have working knowledge of Microsoft suite.
· Must be able to obtain Class A CDL License within 90 days of hire date, must be able to pass DOT physical.
