Where the Chemistry Happens

The Seeds and Traits Regulatory Science Scientist I will be responsible for developing and supporting methods in support of further development of traits and global deregulation of seed and trait agriculture products across crops. These methods provide the basis for the regulatory safety assessments of our products worldwide. Areas of accountability include (i) performing laboratory protein analytical methods (ii) analyzing data and troubleshooting of experimental challenges (iii) Supporting write up reports and methods, and (iv) Supporting other scientists in everyday laboratory activities. The Scientist will execute various analyses with already developed methods, may learn and perform activities under GLP.

Formula for Success… 

BS Biochemistry, Biology or any other Life Science area with minimum five years of experience in life science laboratory setting or MS in Biochemistry, Biology or any other Life Science area with minimum two years of experience in life science laboratory setting.

Hands on experience in laboratory protein analytical methods including but not limited to quantitation, immunological detection and estimation, purification and characterization in a research/industry setting.

Proven knowledge in simple data analysis.

Demonstrated “Attention to detail” aptitude and ability to solve technical issues with appropriate experimental design and execution is a plus.

Able to collaborate with global teams for technical knowledge sharing.

Communicate with ease verbally and in written form with any available communication platform.

Willingness to learn new techniques with an innovative mindset is preferred.

Work with moderate supervision in the laboratory.

Majority of efforts will be dedicated to method development for Seeds &Traits projects, often will interact with other technical teams.
